Jon Bailes, PhD, is the author of two books and an experienced freelance critic of news media, video games and film.
My books are works of non-fiction that explore the demands of modern societies, and what media and digital culture can tell us about ourselves.

I write interview-based features, essays and opinion pieces for publications such as Wired, Byline Times, Edge, the Guardian and Eurogamer.

I regularly review the latest videogame releases. The publications I write for include the Washington Post, Edge, GamesRadar, Rock Paper Shotgun and PC Gamer.
